Fall is upond us

Hi Everyone,
Well where should I start. It is a typical Fall day. Alittle sun mostly clouds around 62 degrees and chance of rain. I love this time of year no over heating and just the right temp. We have had garage sales they went well now it is time to give the rest away to charity. That makes me feel better that I didn't bring it back into my home. This would defect the garage sale to begin with. I cleaned out a lot of stuff. Good stuff I might add but I needed to make the home alittle easier to clean.
     Now I await my hospital stay for another back surgery.   I have to have disk removed and vertibrae fusion. Will stay in hospital for around 5 days and then rehab. hospital as a patient for around 1 wk. I can do this again I guess did it before and came out okay.

     Now I have items ready for an open house in November at the shoppe I am in. I hope that goes well. I am sure it will the woman that owns the shoppe is awesome. She has a nack of placing items and keeping up with the shoppe. She really has a wonderful place and I enjoy bringing my stuff there for sale.
     Family is fine so far. Everyday I thank the good Lord for his blessings.
Well I will close now I need to rest my back. Sitting up too long kinda hurts and I don't want the pain to come back after having nerve blocks yesterday.

Hi there,
Well I am writing this because of my three yorkies. Bella is 6 years, Bitsy is almost 3 and Sophie is 6 months. She is my grand-daughter's dog but we are watching her because Katie isn't in an Apt. yet. I love them all and they are my girls. When we have to take them out I say to them come girls lets go potty. They all run outside. It is so cute. I love seeing them all together. Bella weighs around 5 lbs. Bitsy is around 1 1/2lbs. and Sophie is 1 lb. now. She is fat because she eats like a little piggy. she loves food.

Fall is almost here

Hello
Well it is almost fall time and I just love it. I love the temps. the starting of the holiday seasons and also I love the smell of fireplaces going, leaves changing and the full look of Fall Decorations.
     When Sept. comes and then Oct. I know we are getting close to my favorite Holiday that is Christmas. I love the baking, cooking putting the trees up and decorating. I don't like to shop so I try all year around buying items I think my family members would like. I have 3 children and 5 grandchildren and I buy for all. Plus my sister and her family and my mom. Yup my mom who is 97 this month. We have been blessed to have her for so long.
      I try to buy things that they can use but sometimes I do go overboard and buy items which I could have left in the store. Oh Well I love to do things like that. I do spend too much and each year I keep saying I am going to stop but I never do. I guess I will at some time in my life, maybe this year who knows I don't but we shall see.
     I don't do shows anymore so I don't have that extra money coming in so it could be this year.

     I did get my grand-daughter Katie a little Yorkie Puppy but Grammie is watching it till she gets her own place. First the job then the apt. LOL. She did graduate from college with honors and is working part-time but needs a full time job to live on her own. soon we hope.
Sophie her little yorkie is safe with us till then. We may just keep her if she doesn't come soon. No just kidding I have two of my own, another one is just too much to handle.
     I have been changing my whole house around. New paint, getting rid of so much stuff. I have a garage full of things to sell just haven't had the time to do it yet. My home now is much easier to keep clean because I really took so much stuff out. We restained the outside of the house as well. It looks great. Now doing the basement, I hate this part. Basements are not my favorite place to clean, work in or do anything but it needed some work so we broke down and are really fixing it up. Gosh so many projects so little time.
     I am looking for a cleaning lady to come in twice a month to help with the cleaning. I am becoming an old lady (LOL) and I can't do all by myself. If anyone in Y-town or close to it this is in OHIO please let me know if you want a job of cleaning. One lady said she would help me out but lives in Michigan. Now 5 hours away is just too much for a job of cleaning a house, don't you think? LOL
     Well I guess that will be it for now. I will be back soon to let you know if there is anything new going on. Oh by the way don't forget get the online magazine Rustytinroof it has so much going on. Great reading material.

Hi there,
Well it is already the end of August and we are getting into the Fall season. I love the Fall time with leaves falling, color changing and the smell of fireplaces going. I love the temp. I am not a heat person I love 70's degree weather. I love the starting of the holiday season. this is why I am writing my blog today. My daughter in law who passed 4 years ago this month loved this time of the year. She came from Calif. and never saw the changing that happen in the months ahead of us. But she started her holiday season decorating around Sept. and kept it up till after December. This is for her my Maria. She was one in a million. She gave us a wonderful gift our grandson Nick and kept her house in tack with such love and devotion. She kept her home so clean and was always decorating somewhere or something. She collected Radko ornaments for her several trees she put up. She would change things around all the time.
     I would tease her and say what are you doing today different? She would laugh. It was fun having her popped in and say lets go up the street and have some lunch or lets go to the local retail store and shop. Maria's middle name was shop. LOL don't get me wrong she wasn't perfect but she was pretty close.
     She protected her flock like a bear and anyone and I mean anyone that could or would harm them she would be on them like fire. Blazing away either with fists or mouth she would take care of the problem.

     She kept our grandson in line and loved our son. What else could I have asked for. For this I will never forget her. She was a little spanish, mexican spit-fire I tell you. My son got his soul mate when he met her. They had over 18 years together before she died from cancer. I hate that word- cancer. It has taken people we love away from us darn too early.
Now my son still grieves but went on with his life being young at age and heart. He has helped with the raising of his son and with the household. He met a nice girl and everyone gets along together. Life does go on but it doesn't mean we have to forget the past. This is my way of saying Maria will never be forgotten and I hope someday I will see her again. I am sure of that. She died as she lived without complaining and with us at her side.
God bless you Maria and rest in peace soon we will be together again as a family.

Having home restained

I am doing our home again. I mean we are restaining it. I want to go to a deeper color. A transparent stain and a solid stain for the trim. I have a lighter shade on it now but I want a darker and richer looking stain. Any suggestions please let me know and if you have any color you know of let me know. We are using the sherwin williams paint store for the stains. I would love to hear from anyone with any help. thanks so much.

New Year

Well today is already in Jan. of 2011 and where did the time go. My birth month thats enough for me. Another year and a year older. It already seems like Christmas was a long time ago and here it was only a month ago. Before you know it we will be planning on another Christmas. Time flys by when you start to get older. LOL. When I was a young gal time went by so slow but now WOW!!!! it flys. Oh Well what else is new.
My hubby is getting along pretty well with his cancer treatments and he goes every day. I hope they let us know how the tumors are doing. Nothing yet in that but the doctor will let us know. Oh by the way he lost his 400.00 glasses. Only a month old. gosh he has the worse luck. He looked everywhere and went back everywhere he was and couldn't find them. Some one must have picked them up and kept them. Thats a shame. I recently got a new magazine called A PRIMITIVE PLACE wow what a magazine. It is great. they asked to see some pictures of my home. I have to take some new pictures. I love to take pictures but the rooms need to be re done before I can do that. I will do that in the next few days. If I can get myself up and walking with this darn knee. If that doctor can't do anything about this knee I have to go and see someone else. something has to be done. I can't go on like this. Pain is getting worse. Ralph and family came home from their vacation and had a good time. Pinchy went home. She had a good time here with the other puppies. She was good had a couple of accidents but nothing major. Here are a few pics I want to share with you that I took over the holidays. Have a good day and I will be back soon with more to report. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Getting ready for the family dinner. I can't wait. I love the holiday season and the gathering of the family members. We have a wonderful time, eating and gathering around the Christmas tree and opening up the persents. The fireplace glows and the small kids run around and the bird sings and the puppies get so excited with the kids. It is a fun time. I started to do some of the cooking already. I have to do it in steps because I make so much food that I need to do it this way to make room to cook it. I make turkey breast and then I make a huge 20 lb. turkey as well.
We have potatoes mashed and sweet potatoes and green beans, and corn and salad and rolls, and polish sausage with peppers and onions. also we have o' dores and chips and dips and desserts of all sorts.

My family love to eat then we open up the gifts and play games or just sit around the fireplace and talk and laugh and then everyone kind falls asleep. But it is fun. When everyone leaves it is so darn quiet I hate it. I miss the noise but having two families they have to go to the other families.

The christmas time to family time. Isn't it wonderful to have this time together. This year is another year without my daughter in law who passed away. We still miss her and always have her on our mind at this time. We went to the grave site and put her wreath on with her cross and a picture of my grandson. We always talk to her and she knows she is remembered. Well this is my entry for the holiday so to everyone I want to say Merry Christmas to you all and have a wonderful holiday season. Christmas shopping

You know I hate to think of only shopping for the holidays. I love everything else that goes with it. Like baking and decorating and just the feeling of the Christmas spirit.

This year for some reason, I have lost some of that feeling.Why I don't know but it just isn't the same. Maybe as you get older things change but I just don't have the same feeling as the past Christmass.

The presents are less this year and the baking is not going as planned. Very little decorating as well. The Christmas spirit just isn't there in full force.

Went shopping today and I just couldn't get into it so we came home with very little. I don't like feeling this way but it is just the way it is this year. I sent out gifts for my family that isn't close to us and didn't even wrap them. I put them into a box and put a little tissue paper around the gifts. Shipping is so expensive so this saved me some money on the shipping part.

Only spot lights on the out side of home noting else. Well a wreath on the front door with a red box. I didn't feel like doing anything else.
I wonder if I am alittle down in the dumps and this reflects the feeling for the holiday season? could be I guess. Oh well maybe by the month of Jan. when I really get down I may be able to pick myself up. I hope so. I love to listen to the Christmas music thats nice but everything else, nothing. I hate to be so sad but it could be that our year has been the pits. Only had illness after illness and now with my feeling so darn bad with pain this could be why I feel this way.

It helps to talk about it but then after I am down writing this down I get back into the down spiral feeling once again.
I need something good to happen to me and maybe I can get out of this depression.

Well I talked enough and nothing sounds right so I better sign off before I really get sadden more than I am already.
I hope everyone else is in a better place than I feel. I will sincerely hope so and pray for all so you don't get to feel like me. I need a hug so from me to you I send you a big hug. Have a good one and God bless.

CHRISTMAS IS COMING

As my grandson sails down the river in his Uncle's boat, I am thinking about Christmas. All of the baking, decorating and everything else that comes with the holidays.
Zach, my grandson, loves the outdoors so I try to buy him things he could use in the spring again as he loves to go in the boat and swim in the river.
But today was 28 degrees and a little snow so I thought what better picture to put up than a nice spring one. LOL. It keeps the cold weather alittle warmer only in spirit.
This Christmas we were going up my daughters home but due to my hubby having treatments for cancer we thought we should stay close to home. So we will have
Christmas at my home. We will have to make the best of the space and everything else. The family has grown so and the home stays the same size. Darn it, wish I was rich so I could have a kitchen 30 feet long and a dinning room 35 feet long so I would have so much space for all of them without bumping into each other. But not rich in money but so rich in so many other ways.
I started my baking already but did alitte decorating but not as much as before. I thought this year I would keep it down. Too much work on my hubby so we will use only spot lights. That will make it okay for now.

The homes on the street are starting to get lit up with lights all over so we will enjoy them as if they were our own. Everyone does so much but they are younger in age and that makes a difference.
Christmas is so wonderful I wish it would last all year around but it doesn't boo hoo wish it would.
Our priest at church collects santas and he decorates the whole church with his collection. He has over 3000 santas from all over the world. Alot of Italy where he is from but alot from Germany as well. They knew how to make santas thats for sure in those countries.

Holidays

Love holidays but with them comes some ups and downs but I can take them. With children having two families sometimes the holidays don't turn out the way you want them but I have to make the best of it. I can't have them anymore at my home due to illnesses and also size of home. family is growing and house isn't so we go to my daughter's home which is 65 miles away. My other daughter comes with her family which is nice. My son doesn't make it all the time due to other family committments. This is what is sad but I have to take it and shut up. I wish there was a way we could fix it but no how so we live with it. I miss his family and hope and pray we can get together this year. He is part of our family and I want him there with the other family. Maybe we will find a way. With that said here is a video I just love and everytime I watch it I cry and get goose bumps all over. My favorite singer of all times is Sarah and now this little Jackie is a God sent. She has a voice of an angel. Maybe an angel will hear me this year and bring our family together. just maybe. I hope this happens. I hope this code works. if not I am so sorry I messed up.

My Mom

My mom's favorite singer. Frankie blue eyes. What does one say about a mom that is 96 years old and still going. Well that is my mom. Her name is Maryanne and she is 96 and has a head full of hair all of her teeth and wears rings on her fingers and gold around her neck and still has her nails done. I don’t have my hair done nor my nails and I wear one ring, my wedding ring. Well I am not my mom not yet anyway. At least my kids don’t say that I am. LOL. Well Mom is in the hospital as I am writing this blog. Nothing too bad but is a-little under the weather. At the age of 96 you would think one would be from time to time. She lives with my sister in Texas and needs some help with walking. Her legs are getting weak and uses a walker but nothing than that all of her blood work and everything else is okay. I can’t see her due to my problems here and living in Ohio keeps us apart but everyday I try to talk to her on the phone. I keep thinking will I live that long. If I do I hope I am no burden to anyone. I see what it does to my sister who took on the job of keeper. It isn't an easy job I know that but I can’t help in anyway but just be here for when either one wants to talk. I guess that is my job to listen to them when they want to talk about any problems or what is going on in their lives. What tomorrow will bring only God knows and that is my motto from now on. “WHAT TOMORROW WILL BRING ONLY GOD KNOWS” IS ONLY TO BE MY TITLE OF THE BOOK TITLE I am writing. It won’t be the best seller but It will be worth while for everyone to read. Being a cop’s wife has some advantage because I have stories and more stories. Than I have everyday stories about my every day life and being a wife, mother, grandmother makes for good reading. In my long years of living I have had some great stories to tell. I won’t mention names or bring into my book people I know or if I do I will change things so no one will know whom I am talking about . Can’t hurt anyone because it would be a problem. Believe me some stories would hurt and some will make you laugh till you would pee your pants and some you will cry. I remember things way back when but do you know I can’t remember what I ate yesterday. Did I eat ? Can’t remember if I did or not. You see that is my problem? Hee Hee. What will tomorrow bring?

Do you ever wonder what will tomorrow bring? I wonder each and every night. After I turn off the lights and turn down the covers on the bed and get ready for bed I say to myself What will tomorrow bring. I think back to the earlier day and think will it bring a sad day or will it bring a happy day. I say to myself will my day be filled with joy or sadness? My days are previous to me and each day is so important to me. I make the most of them for I don't know if the next will come. I want the one day I still have to last forever. As you get older they seem to become less and less. When you are young and filled with so much energy your days go slow and you never seem to get to that point of old age but boy when you get to the age of being older the days have speed like no other speed.

Don't you remember when you wanted to be 21 and then when you become 21 30 comes within time like no other time. What took 9 years seems like it took a few months to achieve. 30 was the worse birthday I ever celebrated. I cried for days when I celebrated 30.

The time I enjoyed the most was when I was in my teens and said I was older but knew I was only a teenager. LOL and then when I was no longer a teenager I wish I was again back in those wonderful years. I didn't care of school that much until I was out of school then I missed it so much I wished I was back in school. Crazy Huh?

Thats life I guess. Life goes on and on and you want to turn back the clock but you cant but you always wish you could see the future and you cant you just can't win either way. So what tomorrow will bring only God knows and I am not God so I have to wait till tomorrow and hope for the best. The best could just about anything these days. I pray it will nothing horrible maybe something not too bad maybe something alittle special I deserve something alittle good for these past years have been kinda rotten but I manage to get through them with alittle faith and good family. So till next time take it easy say alittle prayer, have a little faith and smile you may be on candid camera. Thats another story. Ohio State fight song

On this special day 9/11 I wanted to remember all that passed away and also the families left behind. And also Ohio State where I spent alot of time when my youngest daughter attended and I visited so many times. Bringing special pkgs. and money of course to help her out gosh it was a wonderful time in her life. She has many fond memories of those wonderful days. Some bad memories but we won't go into those. but I enjoyed going there and she has a nice background of education from OSU so now it paid off in her later years. So remember today and say a prayer for all those that are still here on earth and those that lost someone. We will always remember that day and still brings tears to my eyes. My daughter's father in law passes away

Hello everyone.
Well a good man has joined the ranks of the angels in heaven. Clayton Nicholson has passed away today Sept. 1, 2010. He would have been 78 in November. A good man and a good Christman man as well. He loved to fish so now God has Peter the fisherman and Now he has Clayton the fisherman. They will get along rather nicely because they both love to fish. Clayton had cancer and suffer for only 2 wks. He went fast and for that we are all grateful. God was kind to him not making it harder for the family and keeping him longer on earth. He had cancer of the stomach and didn't eat or drink for several days and just stopped breathing. God bless him and his family. My son in law is taking it okay but he doesn't do well with things of this nature. He was close to his father and has only fond memories of him because he always said he had a wonderful childhood. Isn't that nice to have good memories of your folks. His mom is the nicest person I have met. They are of the Baptist faith and did alot for their church. They should name a hall or bus for Clayton. He did so much for the church. well I wanted to do this little post in his honor. So to you Clayton I say to you go fishing everyday now without pain and enjoy your life with your Heaven Father and your family you have up there. We will miss you but we know you are in a better place. God keep you safe and enjoy everyday till we met again. Say hi to my dad just introduce your self. He likes to fish as well. His name is Ralph everyone calls him Bucky so if you see a nice man with beautiful blue eyes and he is fishing go up and ask if he is Bucky and if he answers yes he is my dad. Tell him I pray for him every day and will see him someday when God calls me home.

Thie is Chelsie in the hospital
Hello everyone
Well beside melting away we are trying to stay kool it is so darn hot. The heat is so bad this past two weeks we just can't get kooled off.I can't do anything it is too hot. I want everyone to know that the heat has kept us indoors most of the time. My hubby and I feel like hot dogs and we don't need an oven to cook ourselves. The big show is going on this weekend and can't even go there because of the heat. 20 mins and you can fry an egg on the sidewalk I swear.Maybe next month we can do more things being the temp. may go down. hope so. We have been busy with family things. Our step grand-daughter was bitten by a spider and had to go to the hospital and they had to cut it where she was bitten like a snake bite 4 by 3 and it was infected and was on iv's and had to stay 5 days. Poor thing so swollen and high fever. couldn't even walk. She is still in alot of pain.Then my daughter's father in law was told he has cancer. still don't know how bad. And then grand-daughter Liz is getting tests for crohns' gosh what else. We really have had it.Hope better news to report next time. till then got to go. talk later.

WELL TODAY IS SO DARN HOT THAT I FEEL LIKE I AM DROWING IN HOT WATER WITHOUT WATER. IT IS TERRIBLE OUTSIDE. SO WE STAY INSIDE. CLOSE THE DOORS AND WINDOWS. KEEP THE AIR ON 70 AND THE DOGS SLEEP ALL DAY. WATCH TV AND DON’T DO ANY WORK. DON’T COOK THE OVEN MAKES THE HOUSE WARM. DON’T TURN LIGHTS ON MAKES HEAT. GOSH DON’T TAKE IN AIR BECAUSE YOU USE UP TOO MUCH AIR. IT IS SO DARN HOT. HATE THE HEAT. I LOVE THE FALL WHEN THE LEAVES ARE FALLING AND THE TEMP. IS AROUND 70 AND THE SMELL OF FIRES GOING AND THE PUMPKINS GROWING. THIS HEAT IS FOR THE BIRDS WITHOUT FEATHERS. LOL. HATE IT JUST HATE IT. UNLESS YOU LIVE BY WATER AND CAN STAY IN IT ALL DAY. WITHOUT FEAR OF SHARKS OR JELLY FISH OR ANY KIND OF CREATURE THAT CAN HARM U. WENT TO A BASEBALL GAME AND ALMOST DIED DUE TO THE HEAT. HAD TO PUT ON A COLD RAG AROUND MY NECK TO COOL ME OFF. SO DARN HOT.

WELL ENOUGH ABOUT THE WEATHER LETS TALK ABOUT MY GRANDSONS AND GRAND-DAUGHTERS. THAT IS WHAT I LOVE TO TALK ABOUT. THE OLDER ONES ARE ALL WORKING DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS BEFORE GOING BACK TO COLLEGE. THE YOUNGER ONES ARE PLAYING AND ENJOYING THEIR NEW RV THEIR PARENTS BOUGHT BY CLEANING IT AND GETTING IT READY FOR A TRIP. THIS IS WHAT THEY ENJOY. CAMPING WITH THEIR PARENTS IN THEIR RV YOU KNOW LIKE WHAT WAS HIS NAME EDDIE? IN THAT MOVIE WITH THAT CHASE GUY. THAT WAS A CLASSIC. WELL I GUESS THATS ALL FOR TODAY GETTING TIRED SO OFF TO BEDDY BY FOR ME . WELL I AM GETTING OLD YOU KNOW SO I DO GO TO BED BUT DON’T SLEEP TILL EARLY MORNING HOURS. Well would you believe it is already July yup it is July 1st. Warm as heck and air is on all the time. Gas bills high in winter and now electric bills high in the summer. Cant win for trying. Hee hee oh well what can we do. Love to have cool weather love 76 weather but can’t have that all the time. but I can hope for it. We have been busy for the most part but trying to keep cool. Getting ready for an open house with new items I have made. I hope it is a huge success. We are hoping for a big crowd. Last year it was all day with people coming in by the hundreds. It is at a nice location and people are waiting for it again this year. We have quite a few dealers or crafters with their wares. closer to the date I will give directions to the place. Having a grandson who is autistic

here above is a site for everyone to go and read a poem from a young lady that is autistic and is like my grandson Jacob. Growing up for him was so hard but since he is now 11 and 1/2 years old he has overcome alot of his fears. He has been able to adjust to them and is able to handle the social behavior pretty good. I love music and I keep trying to put some on here but I am unable to do it right. I have in my hand the code so I thought until I try to upload it and wow it goes away. boo hoo.oh well I will keep trying because it is so nice to hear a soft music background when you are browsing on my blog. I have been trying so hard to recover and am getting alot better. I have some photos to post. My grandson Jacob was Louie Armstrong in a play and boy for an 11 year old he was AWESOME. We enjoyed it so much. Then the next day they were treated at a fun place for a night of fun. Hope you enjoy the photos.Arent they the cutest kids? well I am their grandmom so I am so proud of them. Jacob is only 11 years old and is autistic and doesn't look it but believe me he has come a long way and now he is getting so big and he is so smart. He has the kind that is gifted but social behavior is kinda off the chart but lately he is able to control that as well. Good for him alot of prayers and faith made this happen plus some help from a wonderful doctor that doesn't believe in pills and medication only home meds which helped him alot. Back surgery then Knee replacement

Hi everyone,
Well here it is May 2010 and I am still recovering from surgery. Back surgery from last year and now knee replacement this year. Having problems from knee surgery still alot of pain. Just can't get over this pain. It has been a long process but dr. keeps telling me it will be okay. I just don't understand why so long. Oh well getting old I guess. Haven't been doing much crafting and web site is still down due to that fact. Gave up my big show in October. With my husband not doing well and me not doing well just can't do it. Just too much on our plate. But doing the blogs and trying to keep up with my writing for Rusty tin roof is enough for me at this time. The time is going by fast and I try to keep up with the family and our grandchildren.
My son in law graduated from college and we are so proud of him. You know having a family and a full time job he did do a good job with graduating with honors as well. My daughter gave him a great party with food that was awesome and family and friends to share it with. I had a great time. Walking with a cane wasn't my idea of making a grand entrance but I did ok, I guess. It is still hard to walk without it. I am posting some photos to show you some of my family. My husband and grand-daughter and son in law. Hope you enjoy them. I love bloging and haven't been keeping up with it lately but will do so now that I was given a lap top. Yipeeeeeeeeeee. getting better

Hi Everyone
this is JoAnne and I just wanted to tell everyone that the back surgery is complete and I am feeling much better. It is coming along. Doctors tell me it will take at least a year to completely recover but I have some issues with my legs so I am hoping it will come sooner but I don't think so. I am now on facebook and loving it. I am a farmer on farmville and I enjoy that so much. I am neighbors with so many people and with my daughters and grandson and cousins aa well. So come there and visit me..... Well not much to report except dont' forget I am doing that big show in October again. New Year 2009

Well I hope 2009 brings everyone good luck, more happiness and a safe year. 2008 wasn't too good for us. We had alot of problems. But I am hoping we can get through 2009 without a hitch. I am feeling pretty good about 2009. I feel with a lot of prayers and faith, we will get through it with no problems. It was a hard year 2008. with my husband's congestive heart failure and all and my daughter losing her job and so many other problems. My surgery which didn't work out that well. My problem wasn't fixed so I am back to square one. Oh well I was hoping for the best but didn't get it. What else is new, right?. I never seem to come out on top. But my toes aren't as bad as they were when I started but they will never be the same as they were before the first surgery. But at least the second doctor tried so I can't blame him.
Lets see Nicky, my grandson turned 17 yesterday and my grand-daughers turned 20 and 15 so they are getting older as well. My younger two one turned 10 and the other turned 6 all getting older. Katie the one in college is doing quite well and I am so proud of her. Lizzie is doing so well in high school and boy is she getting beautiful. She was always pretty but as she gets older, she is getting more beautiful. so tall and really getting to be a very beautiful young lady. She is now in New England at her friend's home for the holidays. This was a gift to her from her friend's family.
My daughter has since been offered a new position so she will start a new job I believe in Feb. so thats good news. My husband whom almost died is coming along very well. so things are already looking up. I am getting my bird which I asked Santa for this is a gift from my two girls thats a great present......
Lets see I sent in an application for a show in March, which I never do Spring shows but this is one up near Katie's school Akron U. so I don't know if I will get in or not we shall see by Jan. 16th.
Still writing for Lemon Poppy Seeds which I totally enjoy and also still doing my web site and also lemon poppy seeds and Sandy's site which I have been selling items so thats a good sign. I hope 2009 brings peace and a safe home front for all of us.
I hope Obama does well, he is our president even though I didn't vote for him, I wish him well.
Well I guess thats all for now will write more later I need to keep up with this blog since Maria died I lost interest in writing here but I have to keep it up. So till next time Keep safe, keep warm and keep smiling keeps the wrinkles away.

MY DAUGHTER IN LAW BEFORE SHE DIED

HELLO EVERYONE,
Well I wanted to share with you the passing of our daughter in law Maria. She died on August 27, 2007. This is a beautiful picture of her with one of her sons. This was while she was sick but still not at the end... She was still able to get around and was not that ill that she didn't think there was a light at the end of the tunnel. We finally came to the end after a 2 year battle with colon cancer which spread thruout her body. She was a strong person and fought till the end. She was a true fighter and is still fighting, I am willing to bet, in heaven with everyone. She was something else. She never gave up I tell you. She was strong, never complained and never let us know how she felt even if she was hurting only at the end did we know just how much pain she was in. The last few days were horrible but she died with us around her and she fought to stay alive till we were all there.. Then she went peacefully. This to her I write this blog and post this picture. She was a true Maria. An Ava Maria. In the church we cried when they sang that song because it brought back so many memories about what she did in her life. She was a wonderful mother, and a soul mate to my son, who is taking it so hard. I write this in her honor and I say to you, Maria will live on in our hearts because my son will never forget her... We loved her for her good and bad, if any, and we will always think of her no matter what... Maria rest in peace.

This is JoAnne and boy have I been busy
I have been making new Items. Also been busy getting ready for my grand-daughter's grads. she is going to Akron University in the fall, well starting in August. So excited... She is a beauty, I tell you and is so smart as well. Also been busy getting ready for visitors coming for 2 weeks in June as well. I will have to have the house cleaned and all. Boo hoo, one of the chore I really don't like but do out of duty, I guess. I do keep my home up, but only because everyone expects you to keep a clean home, which I do. hee hee but I really am busy getting ready for the big show in October in Shaker Woods in Columbiana, Ohio. that is in October. The 2nd and third weekend of the month... Great Show, great people, great food, great artists and great everything. Except weather sometimes... But we keep warm in a booth with a little made up heat. No electric available so we make due with what we have...

IT HAS BEEN SINCE JAN. SINCE LAST BLOG

Well It has been since Jan. since I posted a new blog. I have had so much going on here that I really didn't have the time to do anything. But I wanted you all to know about the new item I have been making. It is these bears. They are so darn cute and smells so good too. I use scented wax to make different scented bears. They come in different scents and boy do they smell. You can put them anywhere in your room and people would swear you have a candle burning. They come to you with directions on how to keep them smelling as well. Size of the bear is about 9" sitting and about 12" when they stand upright. But they are always sitting. I placed them on a trivet or on a place mat. The bottom of the bears are coated with a layer of the scented wax as well as other parts of the bear. NEW FOR THE YEAR 2007

Hi everyone
Well it is a new year and here we are.
Thought 2006 would never end. It was a bad year for our house hold. We had illness and bad luck. Well first of all, don't get me wrong, I am glad we got through it and we are here all ok for another year. But our furnace broke, had no heat for 1 week, our grandchildren, off and on, were ill. Jacob was diagnosed with asbergers I don't think I spelled that right, but anyway it is a form of austism, and that wasn't good. Maria, our daughter in law is still on chemo and our daughter is going in to have more work done on her. So you see things are not that great. But thank God we are still kicking and still around to kick.

Now for the good stuff, I have had good luck in the craft business. Great show in October at Shaker woods that was good. And got quite a few orders on my rugs to do for people. (special orders) I like doing that for I feel like I have done something right when they want my work done in their homes. right?

The picture I have on this page is the latest of my children. They have grown into woman and man. I mean they have families of their own now so I am only now their mother and well, their friend too, I hope. They are good parents and have wonderful chilren. My oldest Shelley, she is the blond is the mother of two young ladies. Doni, the dark haired one is the mother of Jacob and Zach my two youngest grandchildren. And Ralph the big boy, he is the father of Nick the two hundred lb. young man that loves to play football. So they have wonderful families.

Do I sound like a bragging grandmother? Well I am. Hee Hee.

SHE IS A BEAUTY. SMART, BEAUTIFUL, SWEET AND A WONDERFUL DAUGHTER AND GRAND-DAUGHTER. SHE WAS CHOSEN BY HER PIERS AND OUT OF A SCHOOL WHICH IS QUITE LARGE AND 8 GIRLS WHICH WERE RUNNING AGAINST HER, SHE WON. YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEE FOR HER. SHE IS A WONDERFUL PERSON AND WE WERE SO PROUD OF HER THAT NIGHT AND EVERY NIGHT... SO FALL IS ANOTHER TIME FOR THIS AND ALSO FOR LEAVES CHANGING AND FIRES BURNING AND RIDES INTO THE COUNTRY SIDES.
WELL THE OTHER DAY MY HUSBAND SAID LETS TAKE A RIDE AND HE TOOK ME TO MY HOME WHERE I WAS BORN... IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL HOME WHEN BACK WAY BACK WHEN I WAS BORN IN THE UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER ROOM. YOU CAN SEE IT FROM THE PICTURE I WILL POST HERE. NOW THE NEIGHBORHOOD HAS GONE DOWN LIKE ALL NEIGHBORHOODS BUT WHEN I WAS BORN SO MANY YEARS AGO THIS WAS A VERY CLASSY NEIGHBORHOOD. THIS WAS A REAL LARGE HOME TOO. THE DOCTOR CAME AFTER MY BIRTH AND SIGNED A BIRTH CERT. FOR MY MOM. SHE HAD ME IN HER BED ROOM ALL BYHERSELF. IN THOSE DAYS THIS WAS A DAILY ROUTINE FOR ALOT OF MOTHERS TO BE.SO I WANTED TO SHARE WITH YOU MY HOMESTEAD. THE HOUSE I GREW UP IN IS NO LONGER THERE. IT IS COMPLETELY GONE. PROGRESS YOU KNOW

FRIENDS AND FAMILY

HI EVERYONE
Well lets see where should I begin. This is a picture of my mom and dad back in 1934 when they got married. They were married in Farrell, Penna. with only the family and a few friends attending. My dad had the most beautiful blue eyes as you can see in the picture. They were so blue they looked piercing.... Mom was tall, slender and was so beautiful . That is her sister on her left side when you look at the picture. They are both still living with 3 other sisters as well. Out of 11 children 5 sisters are still living. One is 103, the other is 97, my mom is 92, my aunt Jennie who is by mom here in the picture is going on 90 and my aunt Toni will be 88. Here is another picture of mom and dad.
Thought you would enjoy seeing these wonderful photos of my family..... Dad has been gone now for over 19 years but mom is still going strong.

FALL HAS ARRIVED

THIS IS A NEW BEGINNING. A NEW SEASON. A NEW START OF THE COMING OF THE HOLIDAY SEASON. OCTOBER IS COMING AND THIS IS THE START OF OUR HOLIDAYS AROUND OUR HOME. WE START TO PUT UP OUR DECORATIONS, OUR TREES. I WANT TO ENJOY THE HOLIDAY SO I START EARLY. I BUY MY GIFTS, I WRAP THEM AND THEN I AM DECORATING ALL OVER THE PLACE.

THIS IS THE MOST FAVORITE TIME FOR ME AND OUR FAMILY. WE HAVE OUR GRANDCHILDREN RUNNING AROUND AND THE DOG KEEPING AFTER THEM. THE TREES ALL LIT AND MY HUBBY GOING NUTS. HE DOESN'T DO WELL WITH ALL OF THE NOISE AND ALL OF THE RUNNING AROUND. OH WELL, HE WILL GET USED TO IT SOME DAY... HEE HEE.

Hello everyone.
Welcome to my newest blog. I am sitting here watching the rain coming soon. And what I hate about the rain today is my grandson's first football game is today. Gosh I hope it holds off till the game is over. Hate to watch the game in the rain. Nicky is 5'10" going on 15 and weighs in at 195lbs. He is on the line and is an awesome player.... Loves football.
Well enough about that. Lets get down to the nitty gritty.

Has anyone seen a change in ebay lately? I have. it is slow... No one is buying and so many spook emails coming my way. I hate that... Oh well with the age of computers what do you expect. right? more emails that are not right. Hope they catch everyone that is doing this.

About the sites I am on. I am selling some items but not that many as I would hope. My rugs are moving but slowly. Any suggestions would be appreciated...

Loving the fall approching us... This is my favorite time of the year.
The warmth of the days seem to be alittle better to take than the hot days of summer. The preparation for the coming holidays seasons.. I love to cook and bake and decorate for the holidays and always start in the fall, say around October. I do that large show in October as well so I am getting ready for that as well.

LIFE IS GOOD

OK WHERE SHOULD I START.
WELL BESIDES LOSING MY COMPUTER TO NO ONE KNOWS I AM NOW USING A NEW COMPUTER WHICH I HAD TO UPLOAD EVERYTHING AND LOST ALOT OF THINGS. SO BEAR WITH ME OK? THANKS
THEY SAY IT COULD HAVE BEEN FROM HEAT, OR IT WAS HIT BY THE BIG STORM WE HAD.. NO ONE COULD REALLY TELL ME.. BUT THE HARD DRIVE WAS ALL IN TACK SO I HAD TO PAY TO HAVE THEM SAVED IT TO THIS COMPUTER... SO THAT IS ALL TAKEN CARE OF NOW I HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO PUT IT BACK WHERE IT BELONGS, YOU KNOW PUTTING THE DIFFERENT STUFF IN THE RIGHT FOLDERS AND ALL.
WELL THAT IS ONE THING.
THE OTHER THING IS HAD A PLUMBING PROBLEM... OUR PIPES BEHIND OUR KITCHEN CUPBOARDS BROKE SO THEY HAD TO MAKE TWO LARGE HOLES AFTER BREAKING MY CUPBOARDS TO GET BACK THERE. WE HAVE CUPBOARDS THAT WERE BUILT ON SITE SO NO PRE-FAB CUPBOARDS WERE HERE TO JUST REMOVE TO GET TO THE BACK... OH WELL THAT WAS ONE PROBLEM.... THEN THE WATER WENT DOWN TO THE BASEMENT MAKING A MESS OF THE WALLS AND CEILING.... SO NOW WAITING TO SEE WHAT IS PAID AND WHAT ISN'T PAID... WE WILL HAVE TO PUT OUT OF POCKET AT LEAST 1000.00 OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH WELL. AS I ALWAYS SAY IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE RIGHT? SURE THAT IS SO EASY TO SAY, HEE HEE BUT SOMETIMES IT IS HARD TO UNDERSTAND.. BUT AS A FRIEND SAID TO ME, THE LORD ABOVE ONLY GIVES YOU AS MUCH AS HE THINKS YOU CAN HANDLE. SO OK I WILL HANDLE IT... BUT HAD TO LET YOU ALL KNOW WHAT THE HOUSEHOLD HERE IS LIKE IN THE PAST WEEK.. I KEEP TELLING THAT BLACK CLOUD TO LEAVE BUT IT WON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE. BOO HOO.

WE HAD A WONDERFUL EASTER, HUNTING HIDDEN EGGS, GOOD FOOD, WONDERFUL FAMILY AND FRIENDS SITTING AT THE TABLES AND GREAT WEATHER. WHAT MORE CAN ONE ASK FOR.

THE PAPER FLYING AROUND THE ROOM FIGHTING TO BE THE HIGHEST IN THE SKY. THEN THEY FIGHT WHAT GAME OR WHAT GIFT TO PLAY WITH FIRST. NOW THE GIRLS AREN'T TOO BAD, BEING THEY ARE ALITTLE OLDER AND LOVE THE GIVING OF CLOTHING. MY GRAND-DAUGHTER K.T. LOVES CLOTHES AND GIFT CERT. FOR GAS FOR HER CAR.

NOW MY GREAT GRAND-DAUGHTER LOVES ANYTHING SHE GETS... THE OTHER DAY SHE GOT INTO THE CAR WITH MY DAUGHTER AND SHE SAID TO MY DAUGHTER, GRANDMA THIS CAR SEAT SUCKS CAN'T YOU GET ME A NEW ONE? SHE IS ONLY 2 GOING ON 30. SHE KNOWS ALL HER ABC'S AND KNOWS ALL OF THE STATES AND CAN TELL YOU THE STATES BY POINTING TO EACH ONE AND SAYING THAT STATE IS OHIO OR THAT STATE IS VERMONT. SHE IS SO SMART. THEN THERE IS NICKY WHO LOVES ANYTHING SPORTS. HIS FAVORITE TEAMS ARE CINN. BEGALS AND THE CLEVELAND INDIANS... SO HE REALLY GETS INTO SPORTS. THEN JACOB LOVES TO BUILD. HE WILL BUILD ANYTHING BY THE PICTURE. JUST STARTING TO READ HE IS 7. AND ZACH WELL ZACH IS STILL IN THAT DORA STAGE OR ANYTHING SOFT OR CUDDLELY... WELL I DIDN'T THINK I WOULD BE DOING ANOTHER BLOG TODAY BUT FEELING KINDA DOWN AND THOUGHT THIS WOULD HELP.
WE ARE GOING THROUGH A VERY TRYING TIME AT THIS MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR. OUR DAUGHTER-IN-LAW IS GOING THROUGH CHEMO AND HAS COLON CANCER WHICH ALSO WENT TO THE LIVER.
LAST NIGHT UNABLE TO SLEEP, I WAS GOING IN AND OUT OF SLEEPING. BUT IN BETWEEN SLEEPY TIME, I WAS DREAMING. I SAW THE MOST WONDERFUL SNOWY NIGHT WITH A HUGE STAR SHINNING IN THE SKY. I TRIED TO FOLLOW THAT STAR BUT FOR SOME REASON I COULDN'T MOVE MY LEGS TO WALK TOWARDS THE STAR. NOW THAT STAR IS THE KEY TO THE DREAM, I KNOW THAT. IT SHOWN ME THE NIGHT OF THE BIRTH OF JESUS AND FOR SOME REASON THE STAR WAS SHINNING FOR ME THIS NIGHT TO FOLLOW... AND FINALLY MY LEGS DID MOVE AND I WAS WALKING TOWARDS THIS STAR AND I SAW MY DAUGHTER-IN-LAW STANDING UNDER THE STAR.

BEFORE REACHING HER I WOKE UP. NOW WHAT DO YOU THINK? WAS THE STAR TELLING ME SHE WILL MAKE IT OR WAS THE STAR TELLING ME SHE WAS WITH OUR LORD? THE STAR WAS SO BRIGHT IT HAD A HUGE WHITE HALO AROUND HER.. IT WAS SO STRANGE SO WHAT DO YOU THINK? ANY IDEAS?

WE WILL FIND OUT MORE WHEN THEY OPEN HER UP.. SHE IS YOUNG AND NEVER SICK WITH ANYTHING IN HER OWN LIFE AND THEY CAME ACROSS THIS BY ACCIDENT.. OR GOD'S WILL BUT THEY FOUND A 2 IN. TUMOR IN HER COLON WITH ALL OF THE NODES INVOLVED AS WELL. AND SPOTS ON HER LIVER AND WILL KNOW MORE ABOUT THAT WHEN THEY GO IN. SHE IS HAVING IT DONE AT CLEVELAND CLINIC WHICH IS A WELL-KNOWN HOSPITAL BOTH FOR CANCER AND HEART....

NOW MY SON-IN-LAW WILL BE GETTING OPERATED ON FOR BACK PROBLEMS. I ABOUT HAD IT.. I NEED SOME HELP. MAYBE SOME PRAYERS AND SOME OTHER HELP..... IT IS GETTING ALITTLE TOO MUCH TO HANDLE.

WE WENT THROUGH MY DAUGHTER'S CANCER NOW THIS... I HOPE WITH ALL MY HEART THAT WE AS A FAMILY CAN STICK TOGETHER BECAUSE WE HAVE A ROUGH ROAD AHEAD.....

TODAY LOOKING OUT AT THE MOST GLOOMY DAY. RAINING AND DARK AND DAMP, I FEEL DOWN. NOT BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER BUT BECAUSE OF THE RECENT NEWS WE HAVE RECEIVED.. MY DAUGHTER-IN-LAW MARIA WAS DIGNOSED WITH COLON CANCER. WE JUST FOUND OUT THE SIZE IS BIGGER THAN THE FIRST WE THOUGHT. IT IS GRADE 2 AND SHE WILL BE GETTING OPERATED ON VERY SOON. WE HOPE IN OUR HEARTS AND SOULS THAT SHE MAKES A COMPLETE RECOVEREY.
MY SON IS EVERYWOMAN'S DREAM. HE IS COMPASSIONATE, CARING, LOVING AND ALWAYS BACKS HER UP RIGHT OR WRONG. THIS IS THE PERFECT MAN. THERE ISN'T TOO MANY OF THESE AROUND BUT RALPH IS ONE OF A KIND. HE IS A WONDERFUL SON, WONDERFUL HUSBAND AND A GREAT FATHER.... SO MARIA HAS A WONDERFUL MAN AT HER SIDE. IN THESE TIRING DAYS AHEAD WE WILL, AS A FAMILY, WILL WORK TOGETHER. HE WILL BE AT HER SIDE AT ALL TIMES BECAUSE HE WANTS TO BE AND NOT BECAUSE HE HAS TO BE. SO ENJOY YOUR LIFE AS IF THE LAST DAY MAY BE TODAY BECAUSE TOMORROW MAY NEVER COME. THANK GOODNESS SHE LOVE CHILDREN, FOR MY GRANDCHILDREN REALLY LIKES HER.. SHE IS SPUNKY AND HOPS AROUND JUST LIKE A BUNNY. SHE IS TRAINED LIKE A CAT WOULD BE. YES, SHE GOES INTO A LITTER BOX. INSTEAD OF CAT LITTER, WE USE PAPER WHICH SHE DOESN'T MIND ONE BIT. THIS WAY WHEN THE BAD WEATHER COMES WE DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT TAKING HER OUT INTO 5 FEET OF SNOW OR RAINY.... SHE WOULD GO UP TO THEM AND TALK TO THEM AND WAG HER TAIL LIKE A LITTLE FAN, SO I WAS TOLD.

WELL TODAY WAS THE LAST DAY FOR THE TWO WEEKEND SHOW WE DID AT SHAKER WOODS CALLED OLD FASHIONED CHRISTMAS IN THE WOODS. WOW WHAT A SHOW... WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE OUT COME.. WE HAD ABOUT 35,000 PEOPLE THAT CAME THROUGH THE GATES AND THEY BOUGHT. SHOW WAS DOWN FROM LAST YEAR BUT STILL A GREAT SHOW.... MY HUBBY AND I WERE VERY TIRED BUT AFTER A GOOD HOT BATH , SEPERATE BATHS OF COURSE, WE FELT ALITTLE BETTER... MY BACK WAS KILLING ME.. AND HIS FEET HURT HIM. HAY, WE ARE OLD FOR ALL OF THIS BUT LOVE DOING IT. MET MANY PEOPLE FROM THE INTERNET THAT CAME TO SEE ME AFTER BEING FEATURED IN THE MERCANTILE GATHERINGS. WELL GUESS WHAT? WE HAVE THE TV SHOW CALLED EXTREME HOME MAKE-OVER HERE IN BOARDMAN, OHIO 5 MINS AWAY FROM MY HOME. THEY ARE TEARING DOWN THE HOUSE AS I WRITE THIS AND HAVE 106 HOURS TO REBUILD AND GET THE PEOPLE BACK IN. MR. NOVAK THE OWNER HAS THREE SMALL GIRLS AND LOST HIS WIFE THIS YEAR AFTER ONLY 2 WEEKS FROM HAVING THEIR THIRD DAUGHTER... SHE DIED IN HER SLEEP. WE HEAR SO MANY STORIES ON WHAT HAPPENED BUT I BELIEVE IT WAS A MEDICAL ERROR OF SOME SORT.... WE HEAR THEY LEFT SOME OF THE PLACENTA IN HER WHICH CAUSE A BLOOD CLOT OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT AND IT KILLED HER. NOW AFTER MR. NOVAK CLASS NOMINATED HIM FOR THIS, HE IS A SCHOOL TEACHER AND THEY PICKED HIM.... GOSH WE ARE SO HAPPY FOR HIM. YOU CAN'T GET NEAR HIS HOUSE. THERE ARE CRUISERS ALL OVER THE PLACE, PEOPLE THAT ARE BUSED THERE. OVER 200 BIKES THERE WITH THE DRIVERS... IT IS A BIT THING. TY PENNINGTON IS OUT THERE WITH HIS BULL HORN AS HE DOES ON THE PROGRAM AND WE ALL FEEL LIKE WE ARE MOVIE STARS AROUND THE WHOLE COMMUNITY.... THE SHOW WILL BE ON NEXT MONTH SOME TIME. WELL MAY I SAY THAT MY RUGS ARE REALLY TAKING OFF. I THOUGHT I DID WELL AT THE SHOW LAST WEEKEND BUT NOW I HAVE PEOPLE CALLING ME TO DO SOME RUGS WITH THEIR COLORS.. WHICH I LOVE TO DO. THIS IS REALLY MAKING ME SO HAPPY.... A WOMAN GOT IN TOUCH WITH ME AND SAID SHE WANTS 8 CHAIR PADS MADE FOR HER DINNING ROOM.

SHE WANTS RED, WHITE AND BLUE COLORS. SHE SAID HER DINNING ROOM IS AMERICANA..... SO WHO AM I TO SAY NO. RIGHT? SO RED, WHITE AND BLUE WILL BE FINE.

HELLO THERE

THIS IS JOANNE AGAIN... WANTED TO SHARE WITH YOU NEWS ABOUT THE SHOW I DID THIS WEEKEND.... THIS IS THE AFTER NEWS.

TODAY I RECEIVED 3 PHONE CALLS ABOUT MY HOOKED RUGS. WELL I SHOULD SAY MY NEEDLEPUNCH RUGS THAT I MADE WITH AMY OXFORD'S SIZE 10 NEEDLE... WELL THEY MUST HAVE BEEN A BIG HIT. THREE PEOPLE LOVED THE LOOK AND ORDERED RUGS.... I AM SO HAPPY. NOT ONLY DID I MAKE MONEY YESTERDAY AND TODAY I GET THESE PHONE CALLS.. THE RUGS WENT OVER SO WELL.

DOING SPECIAL ORDERS IS THE KIND OF WORK I LOVE DOING. USING THE CUSTOMER'S COLORS AND ALL.. I DESIGN THE RUG AND USE COLORS THAT THEY HAVE IN THEIR HOMES.

ALSO THE MERCANTILE GATHERINGS MAGAZINE WAS A HUGE HIT. AND I MEAN HUGE... EVERYONE WANTED THE TELEPHONE NO. TO CALL BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO BUY IT. I DIDN'T HAVE ANY TO SELL BUT IF I DID I WOULD HAVE SOLD THEM ALL. MY ARTICLE WAS THE TALK OF THE SHOW. EVERYONE THOUGHT THEY WERE IN A FAMOUS PERSON'S BUILDING.. ONLY ME, OF COURSE, NO FAMOUS PERSON... BUT DID THAT MAKE ME FEEL GOOD.

THAT MAGAZINE IS GOING TO BE REAL BIG AND SOON. IT WILL BECOME THE LEADING MAGAZINE, I JUST KNOW THAT. AND EACH AND EVERYONE OF US SHOULD SUPPORT THEM AS MUCH AS WE CAN.. THEY DESERVE IT.

WELL WHERE SHOULD I BEGIN. OK LETS START FROM THE BEGINNING. TODAY IN THE BEAUTIFUL QUAINT WOODS SETTING IN A SMALL VILLAGE CALLED COLUMBIANA, OHIO I DID A SHOW. NOW THE WEATHER WAS REAL GOOD FOR A DUCK. BUT I AM NOT A DUCK SO I HATED IT. RAIN, RAIN, AND MORE RAIN.... BUT PEOPLE STILL CAME WHICH WAS A GOOD THING AS MARTHA WOULD SAY... THEY DID BUY WHICH WAS ANOTHER GOOD THING. BUT THE COLD, DAMP, WINDY DAY WAS JUST TOO MUCH. WHEN RETURING HOME TO GET READY FOR TOMORROW OH YES THE SHOW IS TOMORROW AS WELL, I THOUGHT I WIOULD TAKE A REAL WARM BATH.. WELL THEN THE TROUBLE STARTED.. WATER WAS ALL OVER BY ONE END OF THE TUB AND UNDER A SIDE TABLE I HAVE NEAR THE TUB HOLDING SOME ITEMS.. NOW IS THE TUB LINKING, DON'T KNOW, DID I SPILL OVER THE WATER, DON'T KNOW, OR DID HUBBY LEAVE OPEN THE DARN WINDOW IN THE COLDEST OF DAYS WE HAVE HAD SO FAR, DON'T KNOW. SO NOW WHAT. DO I CALL A PLUMBER AND USE UP ALL OF MY PROFITS. YOU KNOW PLUMBERS ARE LIKE THE GAS PRICES ALWAYS GOING UP. WELL I WIPED UP THE WATER AND WILL WAIT TILL THE NEXT BATH WHICH WILL BE TOMORROW EVENING AFTER I COME HOME FROM THE SHOW HOPING WE DON'T HAVE DUCK WEATHER... BUT STILL AN AWESOME SHOW, MADE MONEY HAD A LOT OF POSITIVE FEEDBACK ON MY APPEARANCE IN THE MAGAZINE CALLED MERCHANTILE GATHERINGS. SO NOW LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT WEEKEND WEATHER MAN SAIDS 70'S BUT HE ALSO SAID CHANCE OF RAIN TODAY, WHOM AM I TO BELIEVE.

YUP YOU GUESSED IT. IT IS RAINING AND WILL CONTINUE TILL TOMORROW MID-NOON... I AM SO MAD AT HIM, THAT OLD WEATHER MAN.... HE COULD HAVE GIVEN US SOME NICE WEATHER... FALL DAY IT IS WONDERFUL TO BE ALIVE

WELL LETS SEE WHAT ONE DAY CAN BRING INTO YOUR LIFE.
TODAY WE TOOK A TRIP INTO THE COUNTRY TO GET OUR PUMPKINS AND MUMS TO DECORATE THE FRONT ENTRANCE OF OUR HOME... IT WAS SO RELAXING AND SO PEACEFUL. THE TEMP. WAS LOW 80'S. NOW DON'T FORGET WE LIVE IN OHIO AND IT IS OCTOBER AND WE ARE HAVING A BEAUTIFUL FALL.

I EVEN SPELLED SMOKE SO I KNEW SOMEONE WAS BURNING BRUSH OR SOMETHING BECAUSE WE COULD SMELL THE WOOD SMELL. OH IT WAS SO NICE.

WE HAVE A FINCH BIRD FEEDER HANGING ON OUR OAK TREE AND WE JUST SAT ON THE FRONT DECK AND WATCHED THEM EATING UPSIDE DOWN. ALSO WHEN WE WERE IN THE WOODS TODAY WE KEPT HEARING THINGS FOLLOWING AND MAKING A SOUND LIKE LITTLE FIRE CRACKER GOING OFF. IT WAS ACORNS. GOSH I LOVE THE FALL TIME, DON'T YOU?
WELL THAT IS ALL FOR TODAY BUT WILL RETURN SOON AND LET YOU KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON.

LARGE SHOW COMING UP

HELLO ALL

WELL I AM GETTING READY FOR A VERY LARGE SHOW. WE SHOULD HAVE AROUND 20,000 TO 40,000 PEOPLE THAT WILL ATTEND. THE WEATHER MAN SAIDS IT IS GOING TO BE AROUND 72 AND SUNNY BOTH SAT. AND SUN.

THE SETTING IS IN A WOODS WITH ALL KIND OF SMALL AND MEDIUM AND LARGE BLDGS. WE ALL HAVE THESE BARNS OR LITTLE LEAN-TOOS AND DECORATED IN THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT.. NO ELECTRIC SO MANY OF US USED LANTERNS WITH PROPANE TANKS... SOME PEOPLE HAVE THE BATTERY OPERATED BATTERIES. THE LARGE ONES THAT MAKES ELECRTICTY...

I HAVE TO MAKE ITEMS ALL YEAR AROUND TO JUST HAVE A NICE LOOKING FILLED-UP BOOTH. WHEN SOME YEARS WITH THE WEATHER BEING A LITTLE NASTY WE FREEZE OURS BUNS OFF. BUT WITH A SMALL HEATER THAT MY HUBBY HAS IN THE BOOTH WE ARE ABLE TO KEEP OUR LITTLE OLE FINGERS AND TOES WARM....

I HAVE CHRISTMAS CANDY IN A SMALL BOWL ON THE COUNTER, MUSIC PLAYING ON A BATTERY OPERATED CD PLAYER.. ONLY CHRISTMAS MUSIC EVEN WHEN SOME OF THE MEN ASKED FOR THE FOOTBALL SCORES. NO CAN DO, I TELL THEM NO CAN DO... AND CANDLES BURNING MAKING MY LITTLE BOOTH SMELL AND FEEL LIKE THE HOLIDAYS.
WE REALLY HAVE A BALL HERE AND MAKE MONEY TOO ISN'T THAT BAD EITHER.

HELLO EVERYONE
THIS IS WHERE I DO ALOT OF MY CREATING IN MY BARN. THIS WAS BUILT BY THE AMISH AROUND 10 YEARS AGO. IT SURELY HAS STOOD UP WELL.

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO LEARN HOW TO DO THESE BLOGS. SOME OF THE INSTUCTIONS ARE EASY TO FOLLOW AND SOME ARE RATHER CONFUSING. SO MANY PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO HELP ME AND I APPRECIATE THAT ALOT.

WHERE DID JOHANNA'S START? WELL BACK IN THE 70'S I STARTED TO MAKE THINGS FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND IT BECAME SO OVERWHELMING THAT EVERYONE WANTED SOMETHING OF MINE. SO I WENT THROUGH A SALES REP. AND SHE TOOK ALL OF MY ITEMS TO MARKET. WELL AFTER A PERIOD OF TIME THE SALES WERE SO GREAT I COULDN'T KEEP UP WITH THE WORK SO I GAVE UP THAT IDEA.

AFTER SOMETIME I STARTED TO RENT A SMALL SPACE IN A LOCAL SHOP MUCH TO MY SURPRISE MY ITEMS SOLD WELL AND I NOW HAD A SMALL BUSINESS GOING.

I STARTED TO JURY FOR LARGE SHOWS AND AFTER MANY YEARS I AM STILL DOING MY THING AND DOING THE LARGE SHOWS. NOW IN OCTOBER OF EACH YEAR WE HAVE A SHOW THAT BRINGS IN AROUND 20,000 TO 40,000 PEOPLE. THIS IS NEXT WEEKEND AND THE WEEKEND AFTER THAT. I MAKE MY HOOKRUGS AND DOLLS, BEARS, SANTAS AND MUCH MORE. MY RUGS ARE MADE WITH 100% WOOL AND DONE ON MONK'S CLOTH. USING WOOL I HAVE DYED AND MY DESIGNS... ALSO I DO HAND-MADE NEEDLEPUNCH HOOK RUGS. THESE ARE MADE WITH YARN... GOSH THE BACKS LOOKS JUST AS GOOD AS THE FRONT OF THESE RUGS... THEY ARE ALSO DONE ON MONK'S CLOTH OR WEAVERS CLOTH.. MY OWN DESIGNS AND LENZIE MY FRIEND DYES THE YARN.
